Privacy Policy
FlushCut is built around a simple principle: your golf videos belong to you. Video selection, swing detection, clipping, and playback happen on your device.
Effective August 16, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the FlushCut iOS application and this website. “FlushCut,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer of the FlushCut application.
2. Videos and swing analysis
When you choose a video, iOS provides FlushCut access only to the item you select. FlushCut copies and processes the selected video locally to identify swings and create clips. The original video, generated clips, thumbnails, detected body movement, and analysis results remain on your device and are not uploaded to us or to Firebase.
Those files remain until you delete them in FlushCut, delete the app, or remove them through device storage management. Exports go only to the destination you select using iOS sharing or saving controls.
3. Analytics and crash diagnostics
FlushCut uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand whether onboarding, scanning, playback, exporting, and purchase flows work as intended. The app may send:
- product interaction events, such as completing an onboarding step, starting or finishing a scan, opening results, viewing a paywall, or attempting an export;
- limited event properties, such as the screen or flow where an action occurred and a broad outcome or error category;
- automatically collected app and device information, including app version, device category, operating-system version, language, approximate region, and an automatically generated app-instance identifier.
FlushCut also uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix crashes and reliability problems. When an error or crash occurs, Crashlytics may receive crash logs, stack traces, diagnostic and app-state information, a Crashlytics installation identifier, and app or device metadata such as the app version, device model, operating-system version, available storage or memory, and the time of the event. We do not set a Crashlytics user ID or attach your name, email address, or FlushCut account information; FlushCut does not require an account.
We do not send video files, clip contents, filenames, Photos library contents, names, email addresses, account IDs, precise location, advertising identifiers, or detected hand or head movement to Analytics or Crashlytics. We do not use this information for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking, and FlushCut does not access the IDFA for these services.
Google processes Analytics and Crashlytics information on our behalf under its applicable terms, solely to provide measurement, diagnostics, and reliability services to us. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy.
4. Purchases
FlushCut Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment credentials. FlushCut receives transaction and entitlement information needed to provide or restore Pro access, but we do not receive your full payment-card information. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
5. Notifications and background processing
If you allow notifications, FlushCut may schedule local notifications on your device to tell you when processing is complete or remind you about a scan. These notifications are generated locally. Background-processing settings and scan state are stored on your device.
6. Data sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your videos or swing clips with advertisers or data brokers. Limited analytics and crash-diagnostic information is processed by Google solely to provide measurement, diagnostics, and reliability services to us. Purchase information is processed by Apple to operate App Store purchases.
7. Retention and choices
You can delete imported sessions and clips within FlushCut. Deleting FlushCut removes its locally stored app data from your device, subject to iOS behavior and any backups you control. Analytics and crash-diagnostic information is retained according to the retention settings for our Firebase and Google Analytics services. Because FlushCut does not create user accounts or attach your identity to Analytics or Crashlytics information, we may not be able to locate a specific person’s events or crash reports.
You can prevent future Analytics and Crashlytics collection by discontinuing use of and deleting the app. You can manage purchase history and subscriptions through your Apple Account settings. For privacy questions or requests about information we can reasonably identify, contact us using the address below.
8. Children
FlushCut is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can address it.
9. Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure. Analytics and crash-diagnostics providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as FlushCut changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app when appropriate.
